A beautiful spring wedding at Cheers Chalet.  Spring flowers and red bud trees were in full bloom, with grass as green as the hills in Ireland on a spring day. The bride was beautiful and dressed in an ivory gown. It was a perfectly beautiful day for a spring outdoor wedding in the Cheers gazebo. The room was decorated in spring shades of mint and coral. There were 120 guests in attendance. Creative Executive Catering, Cheers own catering company, catered the evenings selected menu.  The couple chose our Roman Pasta Saute. Their guest’s each created their own perfect pasta dish and it was sauted by our own chefs, just for them. Their guest’s were treated to dinner and a show with this flaming personalized cooking station!  They chose a hosted beer and wine bar.

The guests & family danced and celebrated late into the evening under the stars at the Cheers Chalet’s outdoor dance floor. A beautiful spring wedding at our Cheers Lakeside Venue. Spring flowers were in full bloom, the lake glistened with the fountain as a backdrop. The bride was beautiful and dressed in a tea length gown. The groom and and groomsmen were in white shirts with matching pants and vests. It was a perfectly beautiful day for a spring outdoor wedding in the Lakeside waterfront gazebo. There was also a special guest for their ring bearer…their dog who did a great job walking down the aisle. The room was decorated in spring shades of ivory and purple. The bride and groom had each table named with a quote from a famous author. It was a very unique way to label each table. There were 75 guests in attendance. Creative Executive Catering, Cheers own catering company, catered the evenings selected menu. The couple chose a beautifully displayed fruit and cheese appetizer. Entree included our two meat carving station. The bride and groom chose our mouth watering Top Sirloin with au jus and horseradish sauce and carved glazed baked ham with a mustard sauce served on the side. All prepared by our chef and served to the guests with a spring garden salad, homemade dinner rolls. Sides included fresh green beans and our famous twice baked potatoes. They chose a hosted premium bar that includes beer, wine, and premium brand liquors.

Yesterday, Cheers Chalet had the pleasure of hosting our annual Mother’s Day brunch. And what a beautiful day it was! Our gorgeous gardens were perfect for an afternoon stroll in the sun. With almost 400 people in attendance, there was no shortage of amazing food to eat. Where to begin? There was a made to order omelette station, oatmeal and waffle bars with fresh fruit toppings, biscuits and gravy, sausage and bacon, carved to order ham, sirloin, and turkey, a fresh salad bar, an ice-cream station, and more! So many great menu options in one event!

And, it was an extra special Mother’s Day this year because all of our profits were donated to one of our kitchen staff: Ashley Adams. The profits will go to helping with exponential medical bills for Ashley’s son, baby Carston Adams.

This was a wonderful Mother’s Day event for a very deserving mother. Thank you to all the mothers that came out and celebrated at our venue. Enjoy some pictures of the day below!

The weekend is almost here! For us at Cheers Chalet, that means getting ready for our weekend weddings. This Saturday, Cheers Chalet is hosting a beautiful spring wedding and reception. With chocolate linens to the floor and sage satin accents, this woodsy theme is a perfect compliment to our barn doors and overall rustic feel. And April showers have definitely been bringing some gorgeous May flowers in our gardens. Take a look at the photos below for a sneak peak into our set up day! 

I am meeting with a number of brides this week that are in the very early planning stages of their weddings! They are coming out to see our beautiful 70 acre property and the two venues on site.

I will take them on a tour of our Cheers building, and show them the options for ceremony there. They include the beautiful gazebo, our stunning pergola with the wooded setting as the back drop and our newly installed barn doors on the upper patio.

Next we will tour our Lakeside building. They can chose from a ceremony in the fairytale gazebo setting that looks out over the lake. The pergola draped in a beautiful Wisteria vine, or our Chapel nestled in the woods for the ultimate rustic setting.

I am excited to show them everything that Cheers Chalet has to offer, and how we can help make their big day everything they have ever dreamed it to be!

They’re baaaaack! And, no I’m not talking about the paranormal; it’s prom season! While our facility is known for our beautiful garden and lakeside weddings, we also host a number of fairfield county school proms. This weekend’s event: Fisher Catholic High School’s junior and senior prom. Our lakeside venue is the destination for their Beauty and the Beast themed evening. With blue and gold napkins folded into roses and a gorgeous lake as the back drop, all we need is one of our candelabras to start singing Be Our Guest…

Speaking of which, our guests will be dining on hand carved top sirloin and chicken parmesan with loaded mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables. Oh la la! (dancing plates and utensils not included).
